In the near future, Thomas Anderson, a young computer program that lives in a cubicle dark, is plagued by strange nightmares in which it is connected by cables and against their will, into a huge system of computers of the future. On all these occasions, wake screaming in the exact moment when the electrodes are to penetrate your brain. As the dream repeats itself, Anderson begins to have doubts about reality. Through the encounter with the mysterious Morpheus and Trinity, Thomas discovers that, like other people, victims of the Matrix, a smart and artificial that manipulates the minds of people, creating the illusion of a real world as USA the brains and bodies of individuals to produce energy. Morpheus, however, is convinced that Thomas is Neo, the awaited messiah capable of addressing the Matrix and lead people back to reality and freedom.
